Two for one! I fired the kiln on Thursday, and spent Thursday and Friday cleaning enough greenware to fire the kiln next Thursday, going ahead and loading it up on Friday after unloading it... forgetting that we were having a dinner party on Sunday night and that my kiln would need to be moved. Well, there's not too much more that I don't like to do than unloading and unfired kiln, so... I went ahead and bisque fired yesterday.
I unloaded it this morning, and let's just say that my shop is where yarn bowls must come to die. Back to the drawing board, again, on that one. Someone told me once that the definition of success is going from one failure to another with no lack of enthusiasm. If that's true, I am a WILD SUCCESS, because I can't wait to get back to it and try some other new things. I will make this work, by golly. These bowls will not defeat me.
Anyway, here's the glaze firing from Thursday (opened on Friday) -
Everything in that firing that's not a custom order has been listed already. And here's the offending bisque firing from this morning (fired yesterday) -
And now, I think I need to go do some painting and some thinking (before our Game of Thrones inspired dinner party this evening). Have a great Sunday, y'all!
