About, oh, five years ago or so, I poured some pots with the idea of making "toad homes" (little upside-down pots with holes cut out on one side as a "door" that you put in your garden; toads, frogs, or lizards will make their home inside because it is dark, safe, and protected). I bisque fired the two plain pots, and then never got around to finishing them. Well, two broken yarn bowls inspired me to revisit the idea, and those four pieces took up the bulk of the kiln space! Little toad homes! What's next? Fairy doors?
