Works-in-progress Wednesday (08/12/15)

What are you working on this week? This is what I've got going on...

In ceramics, I'm in a mad rush to finish the mugs I'm making for my aunt and uncle's 50th wedding anniversary. I have at least four more kiln firings to go before I'm finished, and sixteen days before the party. SO NO PRESSURE. Here is the latest round, before I started glazing yesterday...

An army of mugs, awaiting glazing orders. #ceramics

In soap, I have a couple of dozen bars I need to wrap, but that's taken a back seat to the ceramics for right now. I'm hoping to get them wrapped and restocked on the website this weekend, when I'm firing the kiln, either Friday or Sunday.

In yarn, I'm winding the sample skeins I dyed up of the early (and beloved) club colorway, Sweet Baby James. I should have a blog post about that this weekend, so stay tuned for more information on that! In knitting, I'm working on a pair of socks I'm liking a lot more than I thought I would...

Emo Dog would like you to stop knitting and give her scritches. #knittersofinstagram #dogsofinstagram

... even though Some Dog would like me to not knit so much, and pet her instead.

That's about all I have going on... I'm sure I could find some more to prattle on about, but I need to go get a coat of glaze on those mugs and load them into the kiln!

What about y'all? What are you working on this week? Anything exciting?

Hi, Jessica! I will definitely be at Fiber-In this year! I haven’t 100% narrowed down yet what I want to bring with me, but I’ll definitely be bringing a lot in the Andre base, which is a standard sock yarn.

I can’t wait to see you there! Drop me a line if you have any questions or want me to hold anything for you!

Hello! Will you be at the Fiber In this year? I need to get Hogtown in standard sock yarn to make socks for my mom for Christmas!
