The January - March 2016 yarn club is open, and spots will remain available until December 31st.
This round of club will make your nerdy yarn-loving heart want to make the Kessel Run in under twelve parsecs, because guess what's in store? There's no need to have a bad feeling about this. (You love me? I know.)
For the theme this round, we'll be returning to a galaxy far, far away that we visited a long time ago. One colorway will be brought back from a limited edition set I did a few years ago (if you are a member of Ravelry you have until November 30th to vote on that colorway here) but the other two will be new. What is the inspiration this round of club? If you haven't guessed yet from all the thinly veiled quotes and references, then these probably aren't the yarns you're looking for, and you can go about your business. If you have already sussed it out, join us! Surrender to your feelings! And come over to our Ravelry group - you'll never see a more wretched hive of scum and villainy!
Do you think there is nothing better than a sock club? Nothing more exciting than a package of yarn showing up on your doorstep for three months? But maybe you wonder... what could make it more inclusive? What if you wanted to be in a club, but don't necessarily like sock yarn? What if you don't knit socks, or shawls? What if you like to knit or crochet hats? Or bags? Or anything that takes a little bit of a thicker yarn? That line of thinking led to a Worsted Weight option for the club. Additionally, each round of club has had a theme. So far inspiration has been found in beloved literature, mythology, and science fiction and fantasy.
** PLEASE NOTE** There are four different options of club; this is a little different from the last two years of club. I've had to limit the number of swag options and that means a couple of changes. While there are an unlimited number of spots available for both sock and worsted weight yarn ($60), there are now a very limited number of spots available in both those weights with swag ($75). Each option gets you three skeins of yarn in the weight of your choice; one each sent in January, February, and March (club ships on approximately the 15th of the month, although I do try to get International packages in the mail a week before that, so that hopefully all yarn arrives at close to the same time). If you are opting for swag, and have sensitivities or allergies, please note those in the comment section when completing your purchase (IE, "I would like unscented if the swag is soap or hand lotion" or "I am allergic to peppermint").
Shipping prices vary with location; while you can now get real-time carrier shipping prices for both USPS and FedEx, you unfortunately can't see those prices until entering the checkout process. Each month, even with swag, usually weighs less than 13 ounces and my preferred shipping for that is USPS First Class, which is roughly $3.50/month for Domestic and $9/month for Canada (more for the UK, about $12, and Australia, about $15). If you have any questions about pricing please feel free to drop me a line, with your zip code or country, and I can use the online USPS shipping calculator to get you an approximate price.
Local pickup in Keystone Heights, Florida, and surrounding areas, is available; feel free to contact me before purchase if you'd like to discuss this more.
HaldeCraft HandDyed yarns started life in 2007 in a small yarn store in Gainesville, Florida (Hanks Yarn and Fiber) and was then called "Perhaps Today is a Good Day to Dye". It has continued online as HaldeCraft HandDyed since 2011, and is hand-dyed and lovingly re-skeined in a small home studio by someone who loves the fiber arts just as much as you do. If you are looking for photos of yarn colorways or finished objects and are on Ravelry, you can find my yarn in their database; just look for "HaldeCraft HandDyed". We also try to keep lively discussions going in the HaldeCraft Ravelry forum; please feel free to join us!
All yarn is dyed in a smoke-free, but not pet-free studio; however, once dyed it is kept sealed in bags inside of bins which dogs do not have access to.
Photos are of previous club colorways.
Please drop me a line if you have any questions about club!
Thanks, y’all!
