I really did start trying to write this early this morning, but Patreon was taking ages to load and I gave up and then got sidetracked doing a bunch of things. Now it's 7:30 at night and I'm just getting back to this! So... what have I been up to this week? Not much, since I just got back from vacation at about 1 AM on Monday/Tuesday. Now I'm jumping in getting my last few things together for GLAM, which is Sunday.
In ceramics, if I have time this week, I do want to make a couple of things. It's been so long since I've had time to play with clay and I'm itching to get back to it!
In soap, I'm hoping to have a small update either tomorrow or Friday. I was hoping for today, but today got away from me, so... stay tuned. Hopefully tomorrow.
In laser cutting/engraving, I went ahead and ordered a second engraver. I know. I'm addicted? They were having a Black Friday sale, what can I say. This one is super, super powerful and I'm looking forward to the new things I'll be able to do with it - but I won't even have time to unpack it for at least another week, so don't expect to see anything new until early next year. But those things will be amazing!
Behind the scenes is where most of my work is getting done this week. Putting the last finishing touches on some things for GLAM, prepping for next year (I'm so excited about some things I'm putting on my calendar!), and ... well, that's pretty much it. It's a lot more than it sounds like, haha!
What I’m reading/watching/listening to.... on the airplane to and back from England I listened to a good portion of the audio book, The Witch Elm, by Tana French. Other than that in the studio this week I'm just trying to get caught up on all the podcasts I ignored while I was on vacation!
