What are you working on this week? My primary focus is dyeing yarn club, but that doesn't mean I'm not also elbow-deep in clay!
In ceramics, I'm working on The Marie Collection. Most of you are already familiar with a couple of pieces in that line of work - the bowls, the yarn bowls, the mugs... but late last year when switching clay bodies, I decided I also wanted to switch colors on many of my doily-inspired pieces. I had to wait until after the holidays to get working on that, and you may have seen on social media that earlier this year, I posted about the wooden slump molds that my husband made for me. That inspired me with some more doily-ceramic ideas, and coupled with changing clay bodies and thinking of new colors, I've taken off in a whole new direction. I'll have this collection out by the end of this month, if I can stop myself from adding more things to it, heh.
In soap, not much is going on this week. I mailed out soap to the Subscription service last week, and other than that I'm not doing much about soap until later this month. My next soap-making week is the last week of May.
In yarn, I can't show any pictures of the club colorways I'm dyeing up, but I can show off pictures of my newest release, Little Red Corvette! Have you seen it? Have you gotten your hot little hands on it? What do you think?!
In other things... I'm working on trying to up my newsletter game. Y'all know I have a love/hate relationship with writing newsletters. I love that many of you have said that you deliberately read mine all the way through, because you know how hard I work on them... and it seems like every single business article out there tells me I need to be doing weekly newsletters... so why do I still feel like I'm just filling people's inboxes with something to be unopened and deleted? Do you write newsletters? Do you feel strongly about the newsletters you receive? I'd love to hear your thoughts on newsletters in general!
That's it for me this week... what about you? What's going on in your life?
