What are you working on this week? I'm focused on ceramics, and cats who are ruining ceramics....
In ceramics, like I hinted, we're having some cat issues. Troublesome has taken to sleeping on my drying greenware at night, I guess because it's nice and mushy and he can mold it to his body. Like laundry. But not as easily fixable, sigh. Then, I mentioned I've been sharing my workspace with my friend Karen, who is in-between studios right now? Well. Guess who peed on an entire run of handles she'd pulled? (Hint: not me.) We're pretty sure it was Socks, because it had that distinct odor of territorial spraying, and he's the only one who's not fixed. Well. Guess who's going to the Doc some time soon! (Hint: also not me. Well, that's not entirely true, I have a kidney checkup in a couple of weeks. BUT STILL.) So That Poor Man rigged up a cat barrier, to keep the cats off of Karen's work -- I feel infinitely worse about her work than I do of my own, partly because I have more time in the studio than she does and what she doesn't need is to remake a bunch of things, and also because how embarrassing is it if one of your children pees on your friend's work? UGH. Cats. I know, I know... this is the price I pay for allowing them in the studio, and it's all my own fault. That doesn't mean I'm not allowed to complain, though!
In soap, I have a pile of soap from the other week that I still need to finish wrapping. Just as soon as I have time....!
In yarn, the rest of June yarn club is going out this week (likely tomorrow, if I can't get to it today), and I have a couple of restocks and custom order things to get wound and finished up.
In other things... Open Forge started last week, so I've been refining my S-hooks that I want to make for all my hanging plants, and am thinking about what I want to make next. Keychains? Bottle openers? Trivets? A trivet that doubles as a bottle opener? A bottle opener keychain! The ideas are endless. All I know for sure is that whatever I make, I want it to have tapers and scrolls.
