A Bird in the Hand
A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush!
This is a little take on an old phrase that I've been wanting to make for a while now. It makes me smile every time I look at it.

I learned ceramics like an old-school apprentice, at the feet of my grandmother who had a studio in the 1950s and 1960s, and many of the pieces I make are from now-vintage molds that she bought then. My pieces are unique, hand painted, and proudly made in my own home studio. The bird was poured from a 1959 Duncan mold, and the arm was poured from a Mallory mold that while not marked with a date is from the same time period. Both of those molds were bought new by my grandmother when she had her home studio.
