Pie Plate

The color of your pie crust, and the crinkle around the edge...? Don't accidentally eat the pie plate! Whether you've made apple, cherry, key lime, pumpkin, pecan, or any other pie you can imagine... this is a pie plate you'll be proud to serve your creations in. 

This pie plate is glazed with non-toxic, food-safe glazes, and is dishwasher safe. Please note, though, that I highly recommend putting the pie plate in the oven as it is preheating so as not to shock the ceramic with a large temperature difference (say, from a 45-degree fridge to a 250-degree oven) because such a difference can crack the piece. Treating your handmade products gently will extend the life of (and your happiness with) the object. If it's easier, even, to transfer it to this after baking it in a tin? That would also be recommended.

HaldeCraft ceramics begin life as slip-cast, hand-built, or wheel-thrown pieces and then are painted and glazed and put out into the world, all by the hands of one person. I learned ceramics like an old-school apprentice, at the feet of my grandmother who had a studio in the 1950s and 1960s, and many of the pieces I make incorporate now-vintage molds that she bought then. My pieces are unique, hand painted, and proudly made in my own home studio with confidence, mindfulness, and joy.
