Ceramics - raku by Colette

Pottery that speaks to you. Ceramics with a story. One-of-a-kind, handmade functional art. Whether you're looking for a candy dish to make your guests gasp, a utensil holder for your kitchen that reminds you of a place and time, a decorative piece for your fireplace mantle that will bring a smile to your face every time you see it, or even if you're looking for a breathtaking gift for a loved one who deserves something as unique as they are... you're sure to find something here that will grow into a piece of art that can be passed down through the generations.

These one-of-a-kind pieces are made by HaldeCraft artist-in-residence, Colette (Cetty, to her friends). Cetty has studied ceramics at Western Carolina University and Penland School of Arts and Crafts, and has twenty years of experience working with clay. She has been, at various times in her life, an amateur geologist, owner of a rock/gemstone store, owner of a pottery store (where she did both production and lessons), and she is a wonderful and beloved wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother. She currently travels across the US visiting family with her husband and their dog in their RV, and has stopped at HaldeCraft to make beautiful pottery, give lessons, teach about throwing and wood-fired kilns, and appreciate Florida sunsets.
