It's hard to find a more regal-looking bird than a Crane. They're renowned for their beautiful courtship dances, and for pairing for life. There are a pair of Sandhill Cranes who stay in a lake near me year-round, and I love seeing them bring their babies around and watching them grow (I'll self-centeredly drop a picture I took of them in the listing). Cranes are found all over the world, other than Antarctica and South America - so chances are good that you've seen one... and if you've seen them, you love them and their regal gracefulness.

A note on care

To use as a cutting board, flip over and cut on the non-engraved side.

To use as a charcuterie board, serve on the engraved side.

These are laser engraved on Bamboo, and then first rubbed with a food-grade cutting board oil, and then conditioned with a blend of Mineral Oil and natural waxes (also food-grade).  It will naturally dry out with repeated washings, but a rub-down with cutting board wax will return it to it's conditioned state.

About HaldeCraft

HaldeCraft began with ceramics, soap, and yarn. I've been making ceramics since I was four years old, learning at the feet of my grandmother who had a home studio in the 50s and 60s. Currently I make slip-cast, hand-built, or wheel-thrown pieces (or a combination of all three) and then are painted and glazed and put through multiple kiln firings before being put out into the world. The yarn started life in 2007 in a small yarn store in Gainesville, Florida (Hanks Yarn and Fiber) and was then called "Perhaps Today is a Good Day to Dye". It has continued online as HaldeCraft HandDyed since 2011, and is hand-dyed and lovingly re-skeined in a small home studio by someone who loves the fiber arts just as much as you do. Making soap was a hobby that I had for years, and I started making soap for the yarn store, and continued when starting HaldeCraft. Lately I've picked up laser engraving, taking my craft to a whole new level. My pieces are unique, hand painted, and proudly made in my own home studio with confidence, mindfulness, and joy. Everything at HaldeCraft is created by hand, by me, in order to joyfully connect with you!
