Did you grow up on fairy tales where badgers would invite someone down into their burrows for tea and cakes while they fortified them for their adventures? Sadly, in real life, they are rather shy and reclusive, preferring to hide from humans and avoid interaction. But! Now you can have a badger in your house with this cute little coaster! Pretend that instead of just protecting your table from condensation rings, that he's actually serving you your drink (and the cakes will be close behind).
These cork coasters are 4x4 inches, good for almost all mugs, cans, cups, and glasses.
HaldeCraft began with ceramics, soap, and yarn. I've been making ceramics since I was four years old, learning at the feet of my grandmother who had a home studio in the 50s and 60s. Currently I make slip-cast, hand-built, or wheel-thrown pieces (or a combination of all three) and then are painted and glazed and put through multiple kiln firings before being put out into the world. The yarn started life in 2007 in a small yarn store in Gainesville, Florida (Hanks Yarn and Fiber) and was then called "Perhaps Today is a Good Day to Dye". It has continued online as HaldeCraft HandDyed since 2011, and is hand-dyed and lovingly re-skeined in a small home studio by someone who loves the fiber arts just as much as you do. Making soap was a hobby that I had for years, and I started making soap for the yarn store, and continued when starting HaldeCraft. Lately I've picked up laser engraving, taking my craft to a whole new level. My pieces are unique, hand painted, and proudly made in my own home studio with confidence, mindfulness, and joy. Everything at HaldeCraft is created by hand, by me, in order to joyfully connect with you!
